David Rubin, MD, MSCE

Children’s Stability and Well-being Study

Dr. David (Dave) Rubin currently serves as Executive Vice President of Health at the University of California.

He previously served as Director of PolicyLab at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and as a Professor of Pediatrics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. Dave was also the Medical Director of Population Health at CHOP. He has authored more than eighty manuscripts spanning peer-reviewed research, policy analyses, and edited chapters in prominent pediatric texts.

Dave was a Senior Fellow at the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics and a past member of the American Academy of Pediatrics’ Task Force on Foster Care and its Committee for Early Education, Adoption & Dependent Care. He has also served on the White House Commission to Eliminate Child Abuse & Neglect Fatalities and the Pentagon’s Military Family Readiness Council. He was a member of the Stoneleigh Foundation’s Board of Directors and was the first ever Stoneleigh Fellow from 2007-2012.

Dave holds an MD from the University of California, San Francisco and a master’s in clinical epidemiology from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine.
